This beautiful cottage is not the typical oceanfront vacation rental; when you open the front door you will appreciate the Ducks Unlimited decoys and prints, imported copper hardware, cottage-style wainscoting, imported Swedish oak and travertine floors, and slate and baby marble countertops. You will also find hand-troweled walls, wrought iron, custom made tables and a wonderful rock fireplace. While a guest at A Lover’s Hideaway, you will appreciate the gorgeous ocean and mountain views. You will be able to enjoy a bonfire, or perhaps a barbeque, on the beach and explore the tide pools. Or maybe you will take a walk into Yachats Village and be tempted by a specialty drink or freshly baked pastries. If you prefer, you could simply stay home, light the fire in the beautiful gas fireplace, and watch the ocean wave’s crash outside your front window. There is a 60 fathom trench in the ocean in front of this home, so you are sure to see whales, sea lions, pelicans, or fishing boats! A stay at A Lover’s Hideaway is a wonderful home for a couple to spend time alone, or for inviting another couple to join you for an oceanfront get-away. • Local residents of Yachats have informed the owners of A Lover’s Hideaway that Paul Vance composed the 1960 summer hit “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini” while staying in this home. • We had our first wedding proposal at this home in late 2008. • This House now offers Wi-Fi!
